Cafe Lineup is a map of every independent coffee shop in San Diego County, 642 of them and counting. It helps you find a great local café and order ahead, and it helps those cafés reach more neighbors.
What we do
Hours, menus, amenities and directions for independent shops, from Oceanside to Chula Vista. Search by drink, food, neighborhood or vibe.
At participating shops, order and pay on your phone, then skip the line. Menu prices, no service fees, and tips go 100% to the shop.
No chains. Every listing is a local business, and every order supports one.
Free pages, weekly numbers, what nearby people search for, and order-ahead that prints right on their Square register.

Why we built it
San Diego has hundreds of great independent coffee shops, but they're hard to find next to the chains, and most can't afford their own ordering app. Big delivery apps take up to 30% of every order. We wanted something simpler: one local place to discover cafés, and a fair, low-cost way for those cafés to take orders ahead.
We're based in San Diego and starting here first, one neighborhood at a time.
Questions
Is Cafe Lineup free?
Yes. Browsing, saving shops and ordering ahead cost you nothing extra. You pay the shop's own menu prices plus tax and any tip you choose.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Cafe Lineup works in your phone's browser. You can add it to your home screen if you'd like it to open like an app.
How does ordering ahead work?
At shops marked Order ahead, pick your drink, choose a pickup time and pay. The order goes straight to the shop's register, and we let you know when it's ready. If a shop can't make it, you're refunded automatically.
Which shops do you list?
Independent coffee shops only. We leave out chains, including local groups once they grow into big multi-state chains.
Where does the information come from?
From public sources and from the shops themselves. Shops that claim their page keep their own hours, menu and photos up to date and show a Verified by the owner badge. Spot something wrong? Every shop page has a Suggest an edit button.
How does Cafe Lineup make money?
Shops that take orders through us pay a small fee per order. Listing a shop, claiming a page and everything for coffee lovers is free. We never take any part of your tip.
What do you do with my data?
Only what's needed to run the site and to show shops what people look for, always in combined counts. We never sell it. The privacy policy has the details.
